In a four-person research team, we selected Weather.gov as the focus of a usability study to assess how effectively new users could navigate the site. We conducted moderated sessions with 20 participants in Washington state, collecting quantitative data on task success, time on task, and user satisfaction through Likert-scale scoring. Following our analysis, we identified key usability pain points and proposed design solutions to make the platform more intuitive and user-friendly for everyday visitors.
